Dean Shostak has embraced well known Christmas carols in the beautiful tones of his glass armonica. The glass armonica is made of tuned glass bowls that ring when stroked with dampened fingers. The instrument was created by inventor/statesman Benjamin Franklin in the 18th century. Dean is accompanied on this recording by pianist Jacqueline Schwab, whose playing also graced the sound track of Ken Burns' Civil War and Baseball PBS television series, by the resonant harp of Carol Rose Duane, and by his own performance on violin.
